On February 18, an exhibition on Paul Kooiker, one of the most important conceptual photographers in the Netherlands, will open at Galerie Zink Waldkirchen.
His works, which are often serial, have a very unique aesthetic, in which the focus is not on the actual photographic motif, but rather on the aesthetics of the photograph itself. Many of his photo series are created in the context of book projects. His book project on the subject of fashion was also published in autumn 2022, with works that he made for a wide variety of magazines such as Dazed or Vogue and about fashion stars such as Rick Owens and his wife Michèle Lamy.
The exhibition ‘Paul Kooiker: Smooth cotton’ will take place from February 18 to May 7, 2023 in the Zink Waldkirchen gallery in Seubersdorf in der Oberpfalz.
