Smog alarm: speed limit on various highways tomorrow and Saturday

Due to the accumulation of air pollution, caused by traffic, industry, residential heating and agriculture and the continuing unfavorable meteorological conditions, the particulate matter concentrations will increase further. Based on the latest measurements and predictions, there is a good chance that the particulate matter concentrations will exceed 70 micrograms per cubic meter of air in at least one of the three regions on Friday and Saturday. In the smog alarm phase, the advice remains for people who are particularly sensitive to air pollution (small children, the elderly, asthmatics and people with the chronic lung disease COPD) not to do unusual physical exertion. Because the fine dust particles are so small, they will also penetrate the house.

It will be communicated on Saturday whether the smog alarm will be extended or cancelled, according to IRCEL.
