Smart result in Sweden – Referee tells strange details

In Sweden, they are looking for evidence of match manipulation, when the team chasing promotion won by more than 20 goals.

The football match ended with suspicious results in Sweden. PDO

A week ago we saw a series of special events in the Swedish football league. Aftonbladet according to the amateur level, the team that was aiming for league promotion needed a 21-goal win from their last match.

The goal that sounded impossible was successful. The team that played at home won 23–2.

The final result immediately raised suspicions of result manipulation in the western neighbor. Among other things, the referee who blew the whistle Christopher Masoumi Darakeh received unpleasant comments and accusations through social media. To clear his name, Darakeh gave an interview to a Swedish newspaper and told details about the events of the game.

Darakeh, who lives near the match, was invited to referee the match, which turned out to be strange. He says that he didn’t know the starting points of the teams for the match, but he understood after the first goals that the fans in the stands were hoping for a big victory.

The referee noticed that the opposing team, who was getting upset, was not completely interested in the increase in the numbers. He describes the players as being divided into two camps. For those who played for time, and for those who wanted the ball to spin quickly.

In the second half, the visiting team changed their goalkeeper. It caused a completely new phase in the match, as the new goalkeeper was an even worse saver. Some of the team’s players even objected to putting the goalkeeper in question, the judge believes.

– I didn’t know if he pretended to be bad. I’ve refereed a lot of games and he’s got to be the worst I’ve seen, Darakeh commented.

The goalkeeper had behaved indifferently. When the game was played at the other end of the field, the defender could be seen, for example, shadowboxing in front of his post.

63-minute half

Darakeh could not influence the players’ motivation. However, he came under suspicion after giving three fouls and no less than 18 minutes of extra time at the end of the second period. He justified the large extra time by playing with time, discussions with the coaching teams and the protesters who came to the field.

The game had to be stopped a few times when people in the stands rushed onto the grass. One went, among other things, to shout at the coaches of both teams.

The game ended with wild numbers and the minimum goal being met.

– Everyone ran as if they had won the world championship. This is how I experienced this match, says the referee.

The Swedish Football Association wants to hear the report of the teams and the referee about the match. There is plenty to think about, because finding the culprit or rewarding the winning team with a promotion is not the simplest. It doesn’t make it any easier that one of the union’s employees was involved in the match.

Aftonbladet got in touch with one person who played in the match, who did not agree to give an interview. He sent a message that raised more doubts.

– Did you really believe that I would tell you anything? Hello, the message is joking.
