Small eyes after introduction week, but fresh and fruity again on Monday

After five full days and half nights, Fontys’ Purple introduction week is over. First-year students were able to get to know their new city and their fellow students. They slept, even if it was often only a few hours, on campsites in Eindhoven and Tilburg.

After two years, there was finally another introduction week where everyone was allowed to attend, but on Monday the new students have to sit fresh and fruity in the lecture halls. On Friday, the special campsites and the festival grounds were broken up.

In Eindhoven, 2500 students were welcome for the first time this week at a campsite at the Park Forum, close to Eindhoven Airport. Friday morning there was teeming with brackish heads.

The students themselves are particularly positive about the past week. Yes, they are broke, but it was all worth it. Joep is one of the freshmen in Eindhoven. He likes it all.

“It was fantastic, very cosy.”

“I’ve never experienced such a party as here, with a campsite and everything. Fat. I’ll have a party and the way they do it here, that’s nice.” Sjoerd fully agrees.

“It was fantastic, very pleasant”, says Sjoerd, who is going to study Applied Psychology. “The beer cantus was especially great.” Olaf agrees. Despite the few hours of sleep, he still feels ‘pretty fine’.

“I’m awake, I think that’s a lot,” he says.

“I’m fine with it.”

Another freshman who, like Sjoerd, will soon be studying Applied Psychology, would like to remain anonymous, because she has trouble with the hangover.

“I’ll start again on Monday. Then I’ll go for it. Mind at zero. But this intro is my first and I’m pretty through it,” she says while yawning. “Time to go to sleep. I think I’ll get some sleep.”
