A month ago, heavy rains caused landslides and flooded fields, streets and buildings. Numerous places, especially in northern and central Slovenia, were completely isolated by the floods and landslides. Several people, including two Dutch people, died as a result of the storm.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen recently pledged €400 million in aid to Slovenia. Slovenia may also claim other EU pots to repair the damage.
