A man was saved on Thursday morning from his house on the Akkerstraat in Oss. His neighbor saw around a quarter past eleven smoke coming out of the house and called in the fire brigade. The man was sleeping after a night shift, but thanks to the neighbors who woke him up, he managed to flee his house on time.
The smoke that came out of the house became darker and darker. The fire brigade came to the report with a fire truck and a platform.
In the end, the fire brigade did not have to extinguish, but ventilated the house. No working smoke detector would have hung in the house.
