Sky, Dazn and Tim towards agreement: Serie A (also) on satellite decoder

Less than a month from the start of the championship, the negotiations continue. The League is pushing for an agreement to be reached before 13 August

Evidence of agreement. According to “Milano Finanza” Sky, Tim and Dazn would be agreeing to make all Serie A matches available, including those exclusively on Dazn (7 for each matchday), on the Sky Q decoder. A solution that could facilitate problem solving transmission and streaming of matches via the internet. Difficulties that had alarmed the Guarantor and the League of A due to the decline in spectators.

two subscriptions?

To overcome all potential technical problems (internet and satellite), consumers should therefore have two subscriptions (Sky and Dazn). Tim, on the other hand, would have the possibility to review the agreement (as requested by the Antitrust Authority) but also to reduce the contribution he pays to Dazn to exclusively host his app from 340 to 250 million.

technical problems

There are problems, from the changes in value of the various offers if these are moved from the platform to the consequences of the hypothetical double subscription. However, the League is pushing for an agreement to be found before the start of the championship (13 August), or at the latest, from September. And work is underway to find a solution.
