The magnet man’ by Gust Van den Berghe also received a prize in the official competition for best original score, composed by David Van Keer and Birger Embrechts. This film follows Lucien, a human magnet, played by Danny Ronaldo, who joins a traveling circus in France.
Director Tom Van Gestel was rewarded for ‘Bim’, an animated film about three bells who make their first Easter trip to Rome. Both ‘Skunk’ and ‘The magnet man’ received support from the VAF/Film Fund, while ‘Bim’ received support from the VAF/Media Fund.
