Skulls in Mexican cave turn out not to be murdered migrants but people who died horribly 1,000 years ago

About 150 skulls scattered on the ground, all without teeth and partly shattered. That was the eerie scene that authorities in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas encountered a decade ago when they forced their way into a dark cave after alarming reports from local residents. Initially assumed to be murdered migrants, research has now shown that the victims met their end 1,000 years earlier.
