Skrillex is set to release his second studio album, QUEST FOR FIRE, on February 17th, premiering a song on which he will sing for the first time in eight years. This last happened on the song “Mind” in 2015. The Californian also sang on the tracks “Fire Away” (2014) and on Ellie Goulding’s “Summit” (2011). What is easy to forget with all his beat-heavy tracks over the past decade: the US DJ and music producer in the field of dubstep, brostep, electro and trap was once the lead singer of the post-hardcore band From First to Last.
Following the announcement of his upcoming record, Skrillex has now released the single “Don’t Get Too Close”. The song is sung by himself – under his real name Sonny Moore – and the singer Bibi Bourelly. The German-American singer-songwriter comes from Berlin, her current EP from 2022 is called SOLÈY.
