Skrillex releases new song featuring Missy Elliott and Mr. Oizo

Skrillex is back: the US producer has released his first album in nine years. QUEST FOR FIRE, the follow-up to RECESS (2014), features numerous top-class guests such as Swae Lee, Fred Again… and Four Tet. The biggest musical surprise, however, comes with the single “Ratata”, which features none other than rap legend Missy Elliott and French producer Mr. Oizo.

Earlier this year the producer, whose real name is Sonny John Moore, also released the singles “Way Back” with PinkPantheress and Trippie Redd, “Don’t Get Too Close” with Bibi Bourelly and “Real Spring” with Bladee all didn’t end up on the album. QUEST FOR FIRE contains 14 songs including the singles “Butterflies” with Starrah and Four Tete, “Too Bizarre” with Swae Lee and Siiickbrain, “Rumble” with Fred Again… and Flowdan, “Supersonic (My Existence)” with Noisia, Josh Pan and Dylan Brady from 100 Gecs, “Xena” with Nai Barghouti and “Leave Me Like This” with Bobby Raps.

Former post-hardcore singer Skrillex found international fame in 2011 with his second EP SCARY MONSTERS AND NICE SPIRITS. The album won two Grammys at the 2012 Grammy Awards – one for Best Dance Recording and one for Best Dance/Electronica Album. Overall, Skrillex has won eight Grammy Awards, more than any other artist in the electronic music scene.
