In Berlin and Brandenburg there were several slippery accidents in dense snowstorms: in the Oder-Spree district, a Skoda RS crashed into a tree.

In Spreenhagen, Brandenburg, the driver of a new Skoda Octavia RS (“Rally Sport”) lost control of her station wagon on Sunday night. The car slid into a massive avenue tree in the snow.

The forces at work were so strong that the woman sustained injuries and had to be transported to a hospital.

The location of a torn-out headlight shows how strong the impact must have been. This was about fifty meters away from the accident wreck in the snow.

The officers of the Erkner Police Inspectorate recorded the accident. The police are now investigating what happened and whether an inappropriate driving style may have played a role in the crash.
