Skims expands product portfolio to include men’s fashion

The US underwear supplier Skims is expanding its product portfolio to include men’s fashion.

The new Skims Mens line brings the innovative design approach to fabric, style and fit to the men’s clothing category, the Kim Kardashian-founded brand announced Monday. The collection includes underwear, tank tops and t-shirts.

Divided into three categories, Skims’ first men’s line features an essentials collection called ‘Cotton’, crafted from a soft, mid-weight cotton blend for everyday comfort. There is also ‘Stretch’, a collection of basics made from “maximum stretch fabric” and a sports collection specially developed to support athletic performance.

“Skims’ decision to expand into this new category was fueled by the growing number of men who have already adopted the brand’s existing product offering, with men making up more than ten percent of Skims’ existing customer base,” said CEO Jens Grede.

Sport is not only the focus of the third product line, but is also an important part of the Skims Mens brand image. The first campaign of the new men’s line features football icon Neymar Jr., NFL player Nick Bosa and professional basketball player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

“Expanding into menswear is an important milestone for the brand and a testament to Skims’ commitment to providing solutions for everyone,” said founder and creative director Kim Kardashian. “Having an icon like Neymar Jr. as the face of our launch campaign, alongside NBA All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and NFL top defensive player Nick Bosa, I think speaks volumes about the way Skims has developed into a brand that offers comfort for all target groups, not just women.”

Skims Mens will be available from October 26th on the brand’s web store in sizes 42 to 92) for multipacks.
