The goal of the Finnish alpine comet is to win three different titles.
Alpine skiing specialist Elian Lehto is starting to become the role model for many Junnu. The 23-year-old from Rovaniemi reveals which world stars are his own idols.
– Roger Federer, Tiger Woods and Rolle (Ronaldo), the alpinist, piles up a list that was forbidden to name representatives of their own sport.
Lehto’s training is very versatile. There are several sports on the list of favorite sports.
– If you can’t say alpine skiing, then golf, cycling and, for example, free skiing.
Three hard
Lehto is starting to be a regular face with points in the downhill and super-g World Cup. Last weekend, the man finished 18th in super-g in Norway.
So far, the jackpot of the season is the twice calculated place 11 in the most legendary and most watched race in alpine skiing, in Kitzbühel, Austria.
Lehto has three favorite slopes in the white circus. All are classics.
– Val Gardena (Italy), Wengen (Switzerland) and Kitzbühel (Austria).
Towards wins

Lehto came quickly and at a relatively young age to mess up the top group of the world cup of speed sports.
The man announces his goal with the calmness of a Lapland.
– Sportingly, I want to win, that’s self-evident. Here we are talking about winning the World Cup, Olympic gold and the World Championships.
Lehto is the only Finnish alpinist who travels around the world cup of speed sports – or who gets there.
On the technical side, there are other people from our country.
Summer in Finland
Rovaniemeläinen has been training in tough company this winter, on the trip of the Swiss national team. The same thing will continue next season.
Touring the World Cup means endless travel. He plans to calm down next summer.
– In the summer, I train in Rovaniemi and Helsinki, but mainly in Finland. I will probably go to the snow for the first time in August. The place will be Zermatt or South America. Hopefully the training conditions in Zermatt (Switzerland) will be fixed soon.
