A Czech skier died in a tragic accident.

Czech skier Jiří Pliska, 42, has died. Pliska died last Sunday in the US state of Wyoming.
According to the announcement of the Silvini Team represented by Pliska, he died in the mountains at an altitude of 3,700 meters above sea level, while he was descending with the help of a rope.

In addition to skiing, Pliska was a hardworking and passionate mountaineer.
– Jirka died in the place he loved while he was at the thing he loved. He will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever and we will miss him very much every day, read the team’s release.
Pliska was especially known as a long-distance skier. In his career, he finished, among other things, 17th in the legendary Vasaloppet last year.
During his career, Pliska also competed in long-distance skiing in Finland from Ylläki to Levi.
