Too little snow on the Matterhorn
There is enough snow on the glacier for the first two competitions. On the other hand, there is uncertainty about the following races. On the last weekend in October, the downhillers want to start on the new course on the Matterhorn for the first time, starting above Zermatt/Switzerland and finishing in Cervinia/Italy.
However, due to the lack of snow, the track is not yet in a race-ready condition. A week after the men, the women will also contest two descents on the cross-border route.
