Ski jumping: Takanashi WINS in Norway

Oslo (AP) – Sara Takanashi won the second competition at Holmenkollen near Oslo at the end of the Raw Air Tour of the ski jumpers in Norway. The 25-year-old Japanese won ahead of Ursa Bogataj from Slovenia and Yuki Ito from Japan.

The best German jumper Katharina Althaus, on the other hand, has to wait for her next podium place after surviving the corona quarantine. After jumps of 120 and 119.5 meters, the 25-year-old took eighth place and was the best German. The day before, the Olympic silver medalist from China had finished fifth.

From the team of national coach Maximilian Mechler, Selina Freitag was the second best athlete as 21st. Juliane Seyfarth was 22nd, Josephin Laue was 30th. Luisa Görlich was eliminated after the first round. The Slovenian Nika Kriznar won her own Raw Air overall ranking. A fourth place in the last competition was enough for her.
