The Polish ski jumping association and the resigned sports director Alexander Stöckl have officially dissolved their contract on both sides. This was announced by the National Association on Sunday. In the declaration, there is talk of a “loss of trust”.

As the Polish ski jumping association announced in an official statement on Sunday, the contract of the sports director Alexander Stöckl, which has already resigned, was terminated with immediate effect.

Previously there had been a one -hour meeting of the association, in which Stöckl took part in online. “It explained the basis of his decision and answered further questions from the board. The entire meeting took place in a calm and friendly atmosphere in which both sides have sought mutual understanding,” said the association.

That friendly atmosphere was no longer in the past few weeks. Association leader Adam Malysz had gone to Stöckl on a confrontation course and had publicly criticized his work. According to Malysz, the Austrian knew that the association was not completely satisfied with his work. Stöckl, in turn, assured that he had only experienced anything about it from the media. The situation escalated so much that the sports director declared his resignation.

“After an entertainment that lasted around an hour, the board decided to accept Stöckl’s resignation on the basis of the loss of trust on both sides and to dissolve his contract with immediate effect,” wrote the association, who at the same time was working with the long -standing successful coach of the Norwegians thanked.

Anyone who accepts the successor to the Stöckls, who was only obliged in summer 2024 is not yet known. The Polish Association will only present a new sports director after the end of the 2024/25 season.
