Peeing returns
Eva Pinkelnig returns to the World Cup. Last season’s overall winner strained her knee in training shortly before the start of the season and had to miss the first competitions. Pinkelnig proved that she is in shape by winning the qualification. In the ÖSV team, Marita Kramer, Chiara Kreuzer, Lisa Eder, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Julia Mühlbacher were nominated for the Two Nights Tour.

Lundby ends her career
Maren Lundby will not be represented on the tour. The Norwegian announced her resignation shortly before Christmas. Lundby took part in a total of 161 World Cups in her career and celebrated 30 victories, making her the most successful athlete in women’s ski jumping after Sara Takanashi. In addition to the opportunity, Lundby has constantly fought to ensure equality with the men and, among other things, played a major role in the fact that the female ski jumpers were allowed to take part in ski flying for the first time last season.

Women have to keep waiting for a legendary tour
While the men are already embarking on the 72nd Four Hills Tournament these days, the women will have to wait until they too are integrated into the traditional event. This year too, plans for a full-fledged Four Hills Tournament failed after the ÖSV canceled for logistical reasons. Instead of the complete tour, there is only a “mini tour” for the ski jumpers. The men’s race starts opposite in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. At the turn of the year there will be an exchange and the women will go to Oberstdorf.
Welcome!
Hello and welcome to the women’s New Year’s Eve tournament from Garmisch-Partenkirchen! The live ticker begins in good time before the start.
