16:14

Ziga Jelar (SLO)

Ziga Jelar cannot repeat these strong jumps and the Slovenian’s jump will not exceed 121.5 meters. No points should be possible for him again today.

16:13

Jan Hoerl (AUT)

Jan Hörl is no slouch either! He doesn’t leave the table perfectly, but then the Austrian really goes there! After 131 meters, Hörl takes the lead ahead of Tande and Geiger.

16:12

Karl Geiger (GER)

Karl Geiger has not yet been able to show the jump he has in Wisla. Things are going much better today! With 129 meters he doesn’t have to worry about the final, even if he doesn’t get past Tande due to slight deductions for the wind. He is currently second.

16:11

Daniel Andre Tande (NOR)

Things didn’t go as planned for Daniel-Andre Tande yesterday. Today the Norwegian starts his competition better. He manages the take-off phase very calmly and makes good direction in flight. After 127.5 meters and 18 values in posture, he is the new leader.

16:10

Alex Insam (ITA)

The Italian Alex Insam is the next athlete and he is also in the area of the K-point. With 120 meters and 117.7 points, he is currently seventh. Is that enough for the final of the top 30? It could be difficult, because now the further jumps are coming.

16:09

Antti Aalto (FIN)

Antti Aalto can also deliver a decent attempt for his current level of performance and after 122.5 meters he still has chances to make it into the final.

16:08

Domen Prevc (SLO)

Domen Prevc comes as usual flat over the take-off and badly over the mats. Like Raimund, he is also doing the 125 meters. Since the grades are better, the Slovene can get past the DSV jumper and takes the lead for the time being.

16:08

Philipp Raimund (GER)

Philipp Raimund did well again in qualifying, can he make it into the competition today? Yes! He gets into his jump much better, has a good airflow and only the landing at 125 meters could be improved. Nevertheless, it is only once for him to the first position.

16:07

Vladimir Zografski (BUL)

Vladimir Zografski wasn’t satisfied either, today his mood should be better after the jump. With 123.5 meters, he made the best attempt so far in the first round and took the lead.

16:06

Yukiya Sato (JPN)

Yukiya Sato is still without points this winter. Can he change that today? The jump is going better than on Saturday, but after 119.5 meters he still has to tremble to see if the top 30 will do.

16:05

Jakub Wolny (POL)

Jakub Wolny also has to fight his way through a lot of tailwind, which is not easy for the first athletes from this gate. After 116.5 meters he can’t attack Juroszek’s lead either.

16:04

Vilho Palosaari (FIN)

Vilho Palosaari has shown his talent off and on in recent weeks and did well in qualifying. But now there is not much to do and with a lot of tailwind he has a hard time out of this gate. After 114.5 meters he can actually pack up.

16:03

Jan Habdas (POL)

Jan Habdas goes exactly the same distance. With a few plus points for not so good winds, however, he can score significantly more points in the final ranking than Zniszczol in front of him. He is in second place, 2.2 points behind.

16:02

Aleksander Zniszczol (POL)

The next Polish jumper is already on the way with Aleksander Zniszczol. With 118.5 meters, however, he cannot get past Juroszek.

16:01

Kacper Juroszek (POL)

Kacper Juroszek does his job better a little later and with 121 meters he clearly sets himself apart from his teammate. Whether we’ll see him again soon will become apparent as the passage progresses.

16:00

Maciej Kot (POL)

Maciej Kot from the national group of Poland starts today. With a slight tail wind, he opens the competition with a jump of 113 meters. Since it should probably not go out with the final.

15:55

The ski jump

The ski jump in Wisla is a long-running favorite for ski jumpers. World cups have been held regularly at the facility since 2012/13. This year, for the first time in the World Cup, you jump with mats and an ice track at the inrun. In addition, one is also a guest in Wisla in summer. The facility has a hill size of 134 meters and the K point is 120 meters. Stefan Kraft has held the official hill record since 2013 with 139 meters.

3:50 p.m

Again only Deschwanden

With the Swiss, we only see Gregor Deschwanden competing today. It remains to be seen whether it will also be enough for the final round, because with 48th place he only managed to qualify by a hair’s breadth. Dominik Peter and Sandro Hauswirth were eliminated again.

15:47

The ÖSV squad

Without Daniel Huber, the Austrian team will shrink to six athletes. Stefan Kraft should be most likely to be trusted. But Manuel Fettner, Daniel Tschofenig and Philipp Aschenwald were also in good spirits. Michael Hayböck and Jan Hörl complete the team on Sunday.

15:42

Setback for Huber

For Daniel Huber, the season begins with a setback. As announced by the Austrian Ski Association, Huber is on his way back to Innsbruck, where he has to undergo an operation due to cartilage damage in his right knee. Then a longer break awaits him.

15:37

DSV team mixed

The German team experienced a small false start to the season. The best athlete in Stefan Horngacher’s team was Pius Paschke in twelfth place. However, Karl Geiger did not even make it into the final of the top 30 athletes. Youngster Philipp Raimund, who had impressed with a strong fourth place in qualifying, did not score any points either. The increase is supposed to come today. In qualifying it was again Paschke who was the most convincing with sixth place. Markus Eisenbichler and Andreas Wellinger also qualified confidently and Raimund also improved. However, Karl Geiger still seems to have problems. He qualified in 29th place. Constantin Schmid (33) was also further down the list.

15:28

Kubacki makes Poland cheer

The Pole came to Wisla as one of the top favorites due to his strong summer form and confirmed the role with strong jumps on 130.5 meters and 132.5 meters and finally won in front of the Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud, who was also in a good mood. Third place went to Stefan Kraft from the ÖSV team.
