16:21
Gregor Deschwanden (SUI)
While his team-mate is already through, the Swiss points collector still has to wait. After 116 meters and mixed grades, he is not yet in the final.
16:20
Clemens Aigner (AUT)
Clemens Aigner is the next ÖSV starter’s turn. So far it hasn’t worked out for him in Willingen and of course the conditions aren’t exactly helpful. Aigner is 115 meters.
16:20
Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal (NOR)
Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal is the next athlete to fail to get close to the K-Point. But with 117 meters he can still hope that he might end up in the top 30. For his part, Simon Ammann can now safely plan towards the final. He is the first athlete to receive the “Q” after his name.
16:18
Aleksander Zniszczol (POL)
Aleksander Zniszczol makes the numerous Polish fans happy and after 119 meters he is able to get into the final position in this difficult passage.
16:17
Bendik Jakobsen Heggli (NOR)
Bendik Jakobsen Heggli did well in qualifying, but now he’s not making the jump. He has work to do in the inrun, corrects himself there again and then doesn’t come off the take-off cleanly. After 104 meters he too has to be fobbed off with a hop.
16:16
Antti Aalto (FIN)
Antti Aalto is the next jumper who somehow fights his way through and can still achieve a reasonably respectable distance. Fourth place after 114.5 meters.
16:15
Niko Kytosaho (FIN)
It seems that at least the run-up speed is slowly recovering, but Niko Kytösaho still has his difficulties and has to land at 107 meters.
16:15
Ren Nikaido (JPN)
Ren Nikaido is the first to be able to achieve good speed again and in flight it also goes well with the Japanese. After 124 meters he is just behind Ammann.
16:14
Artti Aigro (EST)
What can the Estonian get out of these conditions? Not much either. After 110 meters, he’s heading towards the slope again early. Meanwhile, Simon Ammann continues to lead the round and the final round doesn’t look so bad anymore.
16:13
Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes (CAN)
It remains a tough competition. Although Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes again had a similar speed as the first athletes in the round, he doesn’t go for the big distances either.
16:12
Alex Insam (ITA)
Alex Insam can at least reach the 100 meters again, but you can see on his face that this jump did not give him any pleasure.
16:11
Yevhen Marusiak (UKR)
The jury has to think about something, because Yevhen Marusiak’s inrun speed is far too low to be able to break anything. He can only reach 85.9 km/h and then it doesn’t help if the jumping technique looks really good. With 91 meters he is last.
16:10
Roman Koudelka (CZE)
phew! Roman Koudelka’s start-up speed is also low. Seems the trail is fading more and more now. After 97.5 meters it’s all over for him.
16:09
Jakub Wolny (POL)
Jakub Wolny is the first to start really slowly here and that is reflected in the distance. He can’t crack the 100 meters.
16:08
Decker Dean (USA)
Decker Dean completely misses his take-off and then the big pressure goes to waste for him. He can’t keep up the speed and has to land again at 100.5 meters.
16:07
Casey Larson (USA)
Casey Larson can’t accelerate faster than 87 km/h either. He also has work to do in the air afterwards and with a few small mistakes it’s over for him after 112 meters.
16:07
Eetu Nousiainen (FIN)
Eetu Nousiainen waves aside in disappointment at the exit. His 111.5 meters are far from what he imagined. The winds are good, but the track is slowing down more today than in the last few days due to the wet conditions. As a result, the start-up speed is relatively low.
16:06
Daniel Andrei Cacina (ROU)
Daniel Andrei Cacina made it into the competition with a good jump in the qualification, but he won’t make it to the final after 101.5 meters today.
16:05
Francesco Cecon (ITA)
Francesco Cecon cannot keep up and the Italian leaves the hill with a bent posture.
16:04
Daniel Huber (AUT)
Daniel Huber is the first Austrian in line, but his jump doesn’t really work out and with 99 meters it’s over for him again. He will certainly not be allowed to jump in the final.
16:03
Andrew Holiday (US)
Andrew Urlaub also has an appealing distance down the hill. After 122 meters he sat down his landing. Only missing 2.2 points in the direction of Ammann.
16:02
Simon Ammann (SUI)
Simon Ammann was also lucky in qualifying and caught a good phase. The jump seems to have given him confidence though, as the jump still fits together well and with 123 meters Ammann puts in a solid jump.
16:01
Taku Takeuchi (JPN)
It is Taku Takeuchi who will open the competition in Willingen today. He was lucky in qualifying and encountered good conditions, but now that glory is over and after 99.5 meters it’s over again.
15:54
Ammann in the competition
For the first time this winter, Simon Ammann is also taking part in the competition. The Swiss was able to qualify with a good 22nd place. Gregor Deschwanden will also be allowed to take part in the competition. Dominik Peter and Killian Peier have to watch for their part.
15:47
ÖSV starter mixed
The Austrians are also fully represented in the competition, but the big results did not jump out in the qualification. Only Michael Hayböck was up there in sixth place. Daniel Tschofenig, Stefan Kraft, Clemens Aigner, Daniel Huber, Jan Hörl and Manuel Fettner still had a lot of room for improvement.
15:42
What’s up for the DSV jumpers?
The German jumpers showed good jumps in front of their home crowd yesterday and today they want to attack again. Markus Eisenbichler in particular should still have a score to settle with the hill after he made a poor attempt yesterday. Philipp Raimund, Andreas Wellinger, as well as Constantin Schmid and Karl Geiger are also hoping for good results. Stephan Leyhe completes the German result. The national group was no longer running today.
15:36
Granerud favorite again
Granerud is the favorite again today. In qualifying, the 26-year-old jumped 140 meters and won ahead of teammate Daniel-Andre Tande. Domen Prevc from Slovenia took third place in the qualification.
15:28
Granerud wins on Saturday
The Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud won the individual competition on the Mühlenkopfschanze on Saturday in a sovereign manner. His two permanent rivals Anze Lanisek from Slovenia and Poland’s Dawid Kubacki landed behind him. With his victory, Granerud was also able to extend his lead in the overall World Cup.
