17:01
Karl Geiger (GER)
Strong tailwind. There are 132 meters more than respectable, Geiger only has to let Lanisek go first. Only Kobayashi is at the top.
17:00
Halvor Egner Granerud (NOR)
Due to the corona, one of the few remaining Norwegian top jumpers cannot meet expectations. The leg is spread badly, despite the right twist, he still manages to 128 meters.
16:59
Markus Eisenbichler (GER)
With 132.5 meters, Markus Eisenbichler pushes himself between the Slovenians. He cannot overcome Lanisek and Kos. But of course it’s all about jumping in shape for the Olympics.
16:57
Anze Lanisek (SLO)
Will there even be a five-fold Slovenian lead? The answer is yes! Even with a distance of 134.5 meters, Lanisek does a very clean telemark. The wind points are joined by great jury ratings.
16:56
Jan Hoerl (AUT)
Hörl also does not set a personal best with 125.5 meters. Next a Slovenian quadruple lead.
16:55
Stefan Kraft (AUT)
With Kraft and Hörl, two other ÖSV top athletes are at the top. The Schwarzacher, however, has been seen better, flat it trundles in at 124 meters and rank 20.
16:55
Daniel Huber (AUT)
He will be a bit disappointed over 126.5 meters. In the second round he will definitely be there.
16:53
Scene Prevc (SLO)
At 132 meters with a light tailwind, Cene is also comfortable in the front. The qualifying winner ends up just ahead of his older brother.
16:53
Timi Zajc (SLO)
Slovenian triple lead! Kos leads ahead of Zajc and Peter Prevc. Cene Prevc is coming soon.
16:52
Yukiya Sato (JPN)
With 132 meters, the Japanese ranks fourth behind Kos, Prevc and Deschwanden. Behind them are three Germans and one Austrian: Schmid, Fettner, Leyhe, Lisso and Freitag.
4:50 p.m
Lovro Kos (SLO)
Light tailwind again. And yet Lovro Kos simply sails away at 137.5 meters! He stands bolt upright in the air, not a single twitch can be seen.
16:49
Manuel Fettner (AUT)
Now the expanses fall. However, this is also due to the better wind conditions, so Manuel Fettner missed the podium despite 132.5 meters.
16:48
Stephan Leyhe (GER)
A meter shorter. That puts him in fourth place behind Schmid.
16:47
Constantine Schmid (GER)
Two more Germans are on it. While Leyhe is already scheduled for the Olympics, Constantin Schmid still has to deliver. In contrast to Freund and Paschke, he can call up his performance and set a new best distance of 131.5 meters! However, the wind is also better than at the jumps of Prevc and Deschwanden, so it is only enough for third place.
16:47
Philipp Aschenwald (AUT)
125 meters. Not a personal best, but a sure ticket to the second round.
16:45
Pius Paschke (GER)
Very important jump for Pius Paschke. Is the pressure too great for him too? 118 meters is not even enough for the second round, it is too deep at the moment of the jump.
16:44
Daniel Tschofenig (AUT)
Daniel Tschofenig manages half a meter further. However, since the wind comes a little from below, he ends up just behind Nakamura in the ranking.
16:43
Naoki Nakamura (JPN)
Also from Nakamura a very clean flight after a well timed take off. Rank Five.
16:41
Peter Prevc (SLO)
Speaking of brothers: Peter is the first athlete in the Prevc family to leave the board. He opens the series of the last 20 jumps with a new record distance of 130.5 meters and again pushes Deschwanden out of the sun!
16:41
Junshiro Kobayashi (JPN)
It’s the turn of the first of the Kobayashi brothers. Junshiro still has to tremble for the ticket.
16:40
Evgenii Klimov (RUS)
122 meters are just enough for the second round.
16:39
Gregor Deschwanden (SUI)
That looks a lot better. The 30-year-old from Lucerne has already secured his Olympic ticket and jumps free from the board. Despite a strong tailwind, he takes the lead with 128.5 meters!
16:38
Clemens Aigner (AUT)
It is the turn of the first ÖSV athlete. But his jump comes too late, 114 meters will not be enough for the second round either.
16:37
Simon Ammann (SUI)
The second of three Swiss. With 113 meters, the veteran can’t play a big role today either.
16:36
Daiki Ito (JPN)
So again a German triple lead. Daiki Ito can’t do anything about it, leaves the track disappointed in 20th place.
16:35
Severin Freund (GER)
Severin Freund needs a top 15 placement for the Olympics. This makes it tight, but 126.5 meters are enough for the direct ticket for the second run.
16:34
Dominik Peter (SUI)
After Killian Peier’s break, Dominik Peter is of course even more in the spotlight. With a jump to 117.5 meters, however, he has to tremble about making it into the second round.
16:34
Niko Kytosaho (FIN)
122.5 meters, so he can’t match the jump of his teammate Antti Aalto.
16:33
Ziga Jelar (SLO)
126 meters with a light tailwind. Not bad, but even with him it’s only enough for third place. Lisso is already definitely qualified!
16:32
Jakub Wolny (POL)
Sixth place. It is becoming more and more likely that Lisso, Freitag and possibly Raimund will make it into the second round!
16:31
Artti Aigro (EST)
117 meters, even the Estonian who trains with the Finns does not make it into the top group.
4:30 p.m
Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes (CAN)
The Canadian still manages to make it into the top ten. But Lisso and Freitag are still clearly in the lead here!
4:30 p.m
Aleksander Zniszczol (POL)
Another rather below average jump.
16:29
Fatih Arda Ipcioglu (TUR)
The young Turk cannot confirm the strong performances of the last few weeks either. Almost everyone is currently having problems, although the tailwind is not particularly strong.
16:27
Giovanni Bresadola (ITA)
In the case of Giovanni Bresadola, the disappointment can even be clearly heard. He leaves only Koudelka behind with his lax take-off.
16:26
Andrzej Stekala (POL)
The Polish team continues to mourn better times. With 118 meters, Stekala only ends up in the gray midfield.
16:25
Aleksandr Bazhenov (RUS)
Hardly any momentum either, the Russian only leaves three athletes behind.
16:25
Maciej Kot (POL)
Not a good jump, so it’s only enough for 119 meters.
16:24
Aanti Aalto (FIN)
The Finn jumps another two meters and is the new third. Lisso and Freitag continue to occupy the top positions!
16:23
Robin Pedersen (NOR)
Another Norwegian for whom the same applies. He displaced Philipp Raimund from third place with a jump of 126.5 meters.
16:22
Joacim Oedegaard Bjoereng (NOR)
The Norwegian moved into his national squad due to the Corona failures and is doing quite well at 122.5 meters.
16:21
Klemens Muranka (POL)
Already the first Pole. Klemens Muranka also disappointed and stayed in fifth place.
16:21
special things (NOR)
110.5 meters, so he still stays ahead of Koudelka.
16:19
Roman Koudelka (CZE)
The Czech veteran starts early. And at 108 meters it is the new tail light. The best times seem to be over for the 32-year-old.
16:19
Eetu Nousiainen (FIN)
116.5 meters, leaving the Finn behind only Hamann.
16:18
Philipp Raimund (GER)
Born in Göttingen, he took third place in the German opening quartet with 122 meters.
16:17
Justin Lisso (GER)
The 22-year-old Thuringian jumps half a meter further than Friday and takes the lead!
16:16
Martin Hamann (GER)
Hamann can’t keep up, jumping 15 meters shorter with minimal updraft.
16:15
Richard Friday (GER)
Light tailwind. The World Cup returnee makes a respectable jump of 129 meters from Gate Nine.
16:14
Four Germans to start with
Richard Freitag, Martin Hamann, Justin Lisso and Philipp Raimund are the first to leave the Bakken.
16:06
Killian Peier renounced
In the Swiss team, Killian Peier does not participate in the World Cup in Titisee-Neustadt. He would like to take a break in the direction of the Olympics. Dominik Peter is back after his injury break and qualified with a solid 29th place. Gregor Deschwanden also proved his increasing form as sixth in the qualification. Simon Ammann also came into the competition confidently.
15:56
Strength back in the team
Back in the Austrian team is Stefan Kraft, who recently paused in Zakopane to complete an intensive training session. He is also considered to be the only Olympic starter in the ÖSV team so far, although it is foreseeable that Jan Hörl and Daniel Huber should also have a place after their early season performances. In addition to them, head coach Andreas Widholzl has nominated Manuel Fettner, Philipp Aschenwald, Daniel Tschofenig and Clemens Aigner for the competitions in the Black Forest.
15:51
The fight for the last tickets
National coach Stefan Horngacher has so far nominated Karl Geiger, Markus Eisenbichler and Stephan Leyhe for the Olympic Games. For the other two places, Severin Freund, Pius Paschke and Constantin Schmid are the candidates who have to prove themselves again in Titisee-Neustadt. In addition, the national group is at the start. Martin Hamann, Philipp Raimund, Justin Lisso and Richard Freitag made the cut into the competition. David Siegel retired in 51st place.
15:38
Cene Prevc wins qualification
Nevertheless, the starting field in Titisee-Neustadt is well stocked and yesterday a top-class qualification took place. The best performance was shown by Cene Prevc, who prevailed against Ryoyu Kobayashi and permanent rival Karl Geiger.
15:28
Corona worries in the ski jumping circus
Shortly before the Olympics, corona worries are growing in the ski jumping circus. In the German team, it was Andreas Wellinger who actually wanted to fight for the remaining places this weekend. With Daniel-Andre Tande, Fredrik Villumstad and Johann Andre Forfang, the Norwegians have to suspend three athletes after positive tests. Marius Lindvik has also gone into quarantine as Tande’s contact person. For the Poles, Dawid Kubacki and Piotr Zyla have tested positive.
14:55
Warm welcome!
Hello and welcome to the men’s ski jumping from Titisee-Neustadt. The first round starts at 4:15 p.m.
