17:08
Markus Eisenbichler (GER)
Markus Eisenbichler finds relatively good conditions. Then there is a little wobble in it, but the Siegsdorfer can still save his jump quite well. 209.5 meters and ninth place.
17:07
Manuel Fettner (AUT)
Solid jump. With his stable flight system, Fettner was able to defy the difficult conditions to some extent and jumped to eighth place with 207 meters. It’s Markus Eisenbichler’s turn soon.
17:05
Daniel Andre Tande (NOR)
From Gate 12, i.e. without changing the hatch, we continue. Much more than 198 meters are simply not possible in these conditions. You can literally see Tande being pulled from one side to the other.
17:01
Short break
The wind is just going crazy. The wind speeds are within limits, but the gusts are coming from all possible directions. Daniel Andre Tande has to wait.
17:01
Johann Andre Forfang (NOR)
Suddenly strong tailwind again. Johann Andre Forfang can’t handle it at all and just qualifies for the second round.
16:59
Dawid Kubacki (POL)
Although Kubacki’s flight looks much more restless, the Pole, like Kobayashi before him, jumps to 218.5 meters. However, the wind shifted a bit during his attempt, and Kubacki only ended up in sixth place due to the wind deduction.
16:58
Ryo-yu Kobayashi (JPN)
Such top performances have already been seen from Ryoyu Kobayashi. And you can see them today too! At the top of the slope he has to make corrections again, then he makes it into a stable flight facility and immediately ousts Deschwanden from second place.
16:57
Gregor Deschwanden (SUI)
Very smooth flight. That was Michael Hayböck’s secret of success before and also ensured a top placement for the Swiss. He lines up behind Hayböck on the second and yells “Yes!” into the camera!
16:55
Kamil Stoch (POL)
And so it’s no wonder that Kamil Stoch has to leave the Bakken again so that a gate can be set higher. But the lack of confidence can be seen in his jump, he lands just behind his compatriot Zniszczol.
16:53
Aleksander Zniszczol (POL)
The Pole comes out of the hatch at 99 km/h. He glides on the slope for a long time and with 199.5 meters heaves himself up to fifth place. There was a tailwind when he jumped.
4:50 p.m
Lovro Kos (SLO)
Lovro has to wait a long time for the green light. But the wait is worth it, with one more hatch he jumps into the second round.
4:50 p.m
Giovanni Bresadola (ITA)
The Italian comes up early and then even starts to lurch. Glad it didn’t happen again.
16:49
Naoki Nakamura (JPN)
One of Nakamura’s better flights, with which he confidently secures the ticket for the second round. Are the conditions getting better again?
16:47
Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal (NOR)
Solid jump by the local hero. He jumps the same distance as Geiger and is temporarily in fourth place ahead of the German because he had less updraft at his disposal.
16:47
Niko Kytosaho (FIN)
Even Johansson had hardly any headwind left. Kytosaho is also struggling with the conditions. You should think about a bigger start.
16:45
Robert Johansson (NOR)
The experienced Norwegian has already shown jumps over 250 meters in the past. Like Hayböck before him, he also slides close to the slope, but has to give way to the two ÖSV jumpers Hayböck and Tschofenig.
16:45
Maximilian Steiner (AUT)
Flat trajectory. Michael Hayböck proved that this can work. Maximilian Steiner, on the other hand, cannot stay in the air and comes in at 159 meters.
16:44
Decker Dean (US)
The American rows frantically with his right arm. Nevertheless, 178.5 meters jump out for him.
16:42
Constantine Schmid (GER)
The jump is good this time, but it also flops down relatively quickly. Even four meters less than Imhof, so he will most likely be eliminated. A pity!
16:42
Remo Imhof (SUI)
Actually a good jump, but it doesn’t really keep him in the air. He is temporarily penultimate.
16:41
Daniel Tschofenig (AUT)
The ÖSV team is good! Even if Daniel Tschofenig moves far to the right, he remains stable in his flight system. 216.5 meters!
16:40
Karl Geiger (GER)
Karl Geiger would also have the potential for such a leap. But he gets a little lopsided, after all he almost crosses the 200-meter mark.
16:38
Michael Hayboeck (AUT)
With an athlete as strong as Michael Hayböck, it becomes visible what is possible here even with a lower updraft. With all his routine, he takes a stable position and calmly sails to 228 meters. This is sovereign leadership!
16:38
Justin Lisso (GER)
Lisso comes out of the hatch well, but he comes back up relatively early. With 175 meters he only leaves Stekala and Nousiainen behind.
16:37
Andrzej Stekala (POL)
Very flat trajectory. So it’s no wonder that he stops at 170 meters. Hopefully the momentum for Justin Lisso’s jump will pick up again.
16:35
Eetu Nousiainen (FIN)
That was nothing. In general, the wind conditions seem to be getting a little worse.
16:34
Special Rings (NOR)
Sondre Ringen has already shown 240 meters in training here. He can’t build on that and lands at 184 meters after a somewhat arc lamp-shaped trajectory.
16:33
Bendik Jakobsen Heggli (NOR)
The third Norwegian in the group does not look satisfied when landing, he jumps two meters shorter than before Björeng.
16:32
Joacim Odegaard Bjoreng (NOR)
A little less headwind than at Villumstad, so the 198 meters is a respectable achievement.
16:32
Fredrik Villumstad (NOR)
Villumstad opens the competition. In a strong updraft, he jumps 181.5 meters out of gate 10.
16:16
Four Norwegians open
As the host, Team Norway can of course compete with a larger squad. Fourth is already the Swiss veteran Simon Ammann’s turn.
16:09
Five out of seven DSV athletes at the start
As far as the tournament ranking is concerned, the German jumpers only have theoretical chances. Andreas Wellinger is the best placed eleventh. Today Markus Eisenbichler (18th), Karl Geiger (28th), Constantin Schmid (32nd) and Justin Lisso (40th) passed the qualification, while Philipp Raimund (41st) and Stephan Leyhe (45th) had to do it early lower the sails. Raimund had to struggle with bad conditions.
16:05
Stefan Kraft won the qualification
This is included in the tournament ranking at the Raw Air tournament. With his jump of 238 meters, the Austrian fell a little short of the leading local hero Halvor Egner Granerud, who, however, did not lose too much in third place. 18.5 meters separate the two athletes before the final five jumps this weekend at “Hammerbakken”.
Welcome
Hello and welcome to the Vikersund Men’s Raw Air! The live ticker begins in good time before the start.
