17:15
Junshiro Kobayashi (JPN)
Junshiro Kobayashi lands even shorter and at 109.5 meters he has to pack his things up again. He will only be in the spectator role on Saturday.
17:15
Keiichi Sato (JPN)
Keiichi Sato is also in tomorrow’s competition with 111 meters, but his facial expression shows that he had expected more than just the tight qualification.
17:14
Casey Larson (USA)
Casey Larson can still bring down half a meter and is already safely through. So Belshaw will have to wait and see.
17:13
Eric Belshaw (USA)
Erik Belshaw is likely to be one of the Americans we’ll see again tomorrow, Saturday. After 111.5 meters he puts in a solid jump and only needs to pass one competitor to go out.
17:12
Roman Koudelka (CZE)
Roman Koudelka, on the other hand, won’t be able to climb the hill again tomorrow. The veteran from the Czech Republic has to land at 102 meters. For Steiner it is clear that he will be in competition tomorrow.
17:11
Rok Masle (SLO)
Rok Masle is doing a good job and after 112.5 meters he is certainly in the competition as currently third.
17:11
Andrew Holiday (US)
And Justin Lisso is also sure to be in tomorrow’s competition. After Andrew Urlaub had shown decent jumps at the World Championships, he can’t go further than 106 meters on the big Bakken in Oslo.
17:10
Killian Peier (SUI)
For Killian Peier it is still important to keep calm and after the training deficit in summer and autumn there is simply still a lack of jumps. With 108 meters he is currently fifth and still has to wait. Wrestling, meanwhile, certainly has its “Q” for Saturday.
17:09
Maximilian Steiner (AUT)
Maximilian Steiner is the first of the Austrians to start. He secured seventh starting place for his nation in the Continental Cup, but he wasn’t yet able to impose himself on the hill in Oslo. With 111 meters he can hope for the start tomorrow. So many do not have to be sorted out.
17:08
Danil Vasilyev (KAZ)
The Holmenkollen is one of those ski jumps that scatter extremely and when mistakes creep in, it often doesn’t work much. Danil Vassilyev wants too much, leaves the table too tensely and ends up on the stem.
17:07
Kalle Heikkinen (FIN)
The Finn completes his first competition here. However, he cannot convince. With 107.5 meters it will be difficult to get involved in tomorrow’s competition.
17:06
Special Rings (NOR)
Sondre Ringen ensures the change at the top. With a stable jump of 119.5 meters and solid grades, he is 3.8 points ahead of Lisso. Winds are stable in Oslo today with a slight updraft.
17:06
Jakub Wolny (POL)
Lisso can soon outperform another athlete. Jakub Wolny from the Polish team doesn’t come close to the distance of the DSV jumper and after 110 meters he looks tensely into the cameras. He’ll have to wait to see if it’s enough.
17:05
Justin Lisso (GER)
Justin Lisso is the first German on the road. How does he get into the Raw tour? He still leaves room for improvement at the take-off, but in the air it fits together better and after 117.5 meters he is first in the first position of the qualification.
17:04
Remo Imhof (SUI)
Remo Imhof was able to convince with good jumps at the World Championships, here in Oslo the youngster of the Swiss still has his problems. It didn’t really add up from the first jump and even now it’s only 99.5 meters after he misses his take-off.
17:03
Muhammad Ali Bedir (TUR)
Muhammed Ali Bedir will probably also be one of those who will only be in the role of spectator tomorrow. After 106 meters the Turk is well behind Nousiainen.
17:02
Eetu Nousiainen (FIN)
Eetu Nousiainen is on the way as the next starter. What can he bring down? 113.5 meters. He’s not satisfied with that, because in the first training session it was much further down the slope for him. It might be difficult to take part in the competition.
17:01
Sabirzhan Muminov (KAZ)
Sabirzhan Muminov has huge problems at the take-off table. After a jump that was far too late, he lost his balance and landed on the porch after 78 meters.
17:01
Francesco Cecon (ITA)
It’s served and Francesco Cecon is the first athlete to qualify. 61 athletes are on the starting list today, only 50 of them will compete. Cecon could be one of those busted as the Italian has trouble getting into his jump and is very high in the air. After only 105 meters, the jump is already over for him.
16:58
Eisenbichler and Forfang in front in training
Before qualifying, two training sessions took place. In the first round it was Markus Eisenbichler who was able to jump 131 meters the longest. Behind them were Robert Johansson and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal. In the second practice session, Johann Andre Forfang prevailed ahead of Stefan Kraft and Robert Johansson. Markus Eisenbichler was fourth.
16:53
Four Swiss at the approach
The Swiss traveled to the legendary Holmenkollen in Oslo with the reinvigorated veteran Simon Ammann. Besides him, Gregor Deschwanden should also be good for good results. Killian Peier and Remo Imhof will complete the team. Dominik Peter has already ended his season prematurely.
16:48
Raw Air Specialist Kraft
Stefan Kraft has already won the Raw-Air twice and is going to be one of the many favorites again this year. In addition to him, Daniel Tschofenig in particular was able to convince with strong results. The ÖSV team in Norway is completed by Manuel Fettner, Michael Hayböck, Jan Hörl as well as Clemens Aigner and Maximilian Steiner, who provided the additional quota place.
16:44
The German contingent
The German team traveled to Norway with seven athletes. Justin Lisso, who jumped into the quota place in the Continental Cup, joined the winter standard team of Andreas Wellinger, Karl Geiger, Markus Eisenbichler, Constantin Schmid, Stephan Leyhe and Philipp Raimund.
16:38
Trondheim is absent
Like last year, the ski jumpers have to do without a tour station. The ski jump in Trondheim is currently being rebuilt for the 2025 World Championships and due to delivery problems the original schedule could not be kept, which is why ski jumping in the north of the country cannot take place this year either. But there are more competitions in Lillehammer.
16:34
18 jumps in nine days
A full program awaits the athletes over the next nine days and every day there is at least one round that will later be included in the overall ranking. Because unlike the Four Hills Tournament, qualifying for the final ranking also counts. There are no team competitions like in the first years of the tour this winter.
16:29
No time to catch your breath
After the World Championships in Planica there is no time to catch your breath and with the Raw Air Tour the next highlight of the season is already on the agenda. At the stations in Oslo, Lillehammer and Vikersund in Norway, it’s again about who can push their limits again at the end of the season. The winner can also look forward to 50,000 euros.
