Ski jumping live: Raw Air Oslo Individual Qualification II in the live ticker | 03/12/2023 11:15

12:13

The field of participants for the final is set

And the good news first: the eight Germans will be there afterwards, as will the Swiss and Austrians. Remo Imhof’s qualification is probably the biggest surprise. From a German point of view, however, the first jump of the day could have gone a little better: With Stephan Leyhe, Markus Eisenbichler, Constantin Schmid and Justin Lisso, four DSV athletes are down from 37th place. The best German was Andreas Wellinger with sixth place. See you later!

12:12

Halvor Egner Granerud (NOR)

It’s the World Cup leader’s turn. And he remains the measure of all things. With 131 meters, he equals the previous best distance of special rings, and with significantly less updraft. Granerud wins the qualification!

12:11

Dawid Kubacki (POL)

Dawid Kubacki doesn’t make it into the leading group either, the wind conditions seem to be a bit more adverse again.

12:10 p.m

Anze Lanisek (SLO)

Anze Lanisek, on the other hand, lacks a bit of power when jumping. This is far worse, the Raw Air leaderboard and yesterday’s winner slips to eleventh!

12:09 p.m

Stefan Kraft (AUT)

127.5 meters. The jump is perhaps a bit too powerful, it overshoots the target a little. But he still lines up behind Zajc on the second.

12:08 p.m

Piotr Zyla (POL)

Only 120 meters. With a very restless jump he loses a lot of ground.

12:07 p.m

Andreas Wellinger (GER)

127 meters with a relatively low updraft. Andreas Wellinger is getting better and better at the hill.

12:06

Ryo-yu Kobayashi (JPN)

With tenth place, the Japanese loses ground in the Raw Air ranking. Leader Timi Zajc would be the big winner so far.

12:06

Manuel Fettner (AUT)

With a lot of power when jumping off, Fettner heaves himself three and a half meters further. Fourth place.

12:05

Karl Geiger (GER)

And it’s Karl Geiger’s turn. But it’s not enough for a top position, even if the jump is actually quite clean. With 123.5 meters he joins the seven.

12:01

Timi Zajc (SLO)

After a long time there is a change of leadership again! Although Timi Zajc jumps two meters shorter than Sondre Ringen, the updraft had flattened out a little when he jumped. He ends up two points ahead of the Norwegian!

12:00 p.m

Daniel Tschofenig (AUT)

But now it’s Daniel Tschofenig’s turn and jumps four meters further. Even if he doesn’t really like the hill, the wind is playing into his hands.

12:00 p.m

Michael Hayboeck (AUT)

Michael Hayböck lines up just ahead of Maximilian Steiner and is currently the best ÖSV jumper.

11:59

Jan Hoerl (AUT)

The conditions are also favorable for Jan Hörl, 12th place is actually not enough.

11:58

Kamil Stoch (POL)

And suddenly Kamil Stoch unpacks one with the upwind getting stronger again, he gets flying with very clean technique and lines up only four tenths of a point behind rings!

11:57

Markus Eisenbichler (GER)

And right now it’s Markus Eisenbichler’s turn. At 111 meters he still seems to be making the best of it, there’s just not much in it at the moment.

11:55

Ziga Jelar (SLO)

Ziga Jelar has to wait a long time and then has to contend with adverse conditions. Also only 108.5 meters, maybe you should increase the inrun a little.

11:55

Marius Lindvik (NOR)

Marius Lindvik is already in a low form and confirms this with a jump to 110 meters. That seemed a bit hasty.

11:54

Johann Andre Forfang (NOR)

Johann Andre Forfang is actually in good shape, but he can’t do much with the almost windless conditions either. Another meter less than Tande.

11:52

Daniel Andre Tande (NOR)

Can three Norwegians oust their compatriot from the place in the sun? Daniel Andre Tande does not, he comes up a full twelve meters before Sondre rings. The wind has meanwhile decreased significantly.

11:52

Domen Prevc (SLO)

Domen Prevc, who is already hovering close to the slope, comes down early. rank 15

11:51

Robert Johansson (NOR)

125.5 meters, the best jump in recent memory. The wind conditions seem to be improving again.

11:50

Lovro Kos (SLO)

The trajectory of Lovro Kos can best be described as arc lamp shaped. Kos suddenly falls down like a wet sack, it won’t be enough for him.

11:49

Constantine Schmid (GER)

Mainly qualified, so you can probably summarize the jumps of the Germans. Constantin Schmid also has problems and only lands at 110.5 meters. The hill is not his thing anyway.

11:48

Stephan Leyhe (GER)

Ironically, when the crosswind increases, it’s the turn of the DSV athletes. Stephan Leyhe also curses after his jump to 113.5 meters.

11:47

Philipp Raimund (GER)

Despite the wind from the side, Philipp Raimund can stay up for a while, his stronger jump is very important. After all, rank 14 in adverse conditions.

11:46

Naoki Nakamura (JPN)

Again Naoki Nakamura sails just over the slope. This time, however, he comes up far too early, which is not enough for participation in the final.

11:46

Clemens Aigner (AUT)

On the slope, Clemens Aigner falls down very quickly. He is temporarily in ninth place.

11:44

Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal (NOR)

Rank Three. However, nobody can come close to his compatriot Sondre Ringen.

11:44

Giovanni Bresadola (ITA)

Just barely enough for qualification. The jump from Deschwanden was much more stable, Bresadola has to correct a few times.

11:43

Gregor Deschwanden (SUI)

Gregor Deschwanden has 129 meters to his credit. And they are almost enough for the lead, despite a stable flight system, he has to give way to Sondre Ringen.

11:42

Pavel Wasek (POL)

His compatriot has more wind luck. Not an outstanding jump, but it is enough for the final participation.

11:41

Aleksander Zniszczol (POL)

Not good conditions, the Pole won’t be there afterwards.

11:40 a.m

Antti Aalto (FIN)

A strong updraft ensures that the 126 meters are “only” enough for fifth place. So far, however, all Finns are there.

11:39

Vladimir Zografski (BUL)

The Bulgarian misses the final ticket by a tenth of a point and has to keep shaking.

11:38

Ren Nikaido (JPN)

Safe leap into the final, even if there is a lot of movement in flight.

11:37

Niko Kytosaho (FIN)

Cheerful chairs in third place. The first two ranks of Sondre Ringen and Maximilian Steiner remain untouched.

11:37

Alex Insam (ITA)

Far ahead of the green line. Justin Lisso is sure to be in the first round!

11:36

Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes (CAN)

Clean jump to third place. His somewhat sombre expression upon landing makes it clear that the Canadian’s demands have risen.

11:35

Yukiya Sato (JPN)

115 meters are just enough for the qualification. Justin Lisso must keep shaking.

11:34

Artti Aigro (EST)

With a strong updraft, Artti Aigro jumps 123.5 meters. Rank Three.

11:33

Simon Ammann (SUI)

It’s the routine’s turn. With a determined take-off, he jumps half a meter further than compatriot Killian Peier, but his postural grades are not very good.

11:32

Rok Masle (SLO)

The Slovenian ski jumping offspring is secured. This also becomes clear here, despite a somewhat shaky posture in flight, Rok Masle temporarily jumps to third place.

11:31

Fatih Arda Ipcioglu (TUR)

Again the wind caused a delay. Even after 42 seconds of waiting, the conditions are not optimal, the Turk misses the qualification.

11:30

Junshiro Kobayashi (JPN)

115.5 meters, a very average jump.

11:29

Keeichi Sato (JPN)

Not an outstanding jump, but the Japanese collects four points more than Lisso. The DSV athlete must continue to tremble for the qualification.

11:28

Casey Larson (USA)

Another American. And he secures the ticket directly, jumping 115.5 meters.

11:27

Eric Belshaw (USA)

Erik Belshaw has to wait a long time because the wind suddenly blows from the side. Accordingly, his jump of 101 meters will not be enough for the qualification.

11:26

Roman Koudelka (CZE)

Completely unsuccessful, his width is not even three digits.

11:25

Special Rings (NOR)

Sondre Ringen jumps another meter and a half and sets the telemark clean. He is 13.1 points ahead of Steiner.

11:24

Maximilian Steiner (AUT)

Far beyond the green line! Maximilian Steiner can use the upwind optimally and comes in at 129.5 meters. Only when landing does it swerve.

11:23

Andrew Holiday (US)

Lisso loses another place, Andrew Urlaub pushes between the Germans and Killian Peier. Jakub Wolny continues to lead.

11:23

Killian Peier (SUI)

Now the quality should go up again significantly. It is Killian Peier’s turn and at 118 meters he clearly towers over Lisso.

11:21

Danil Vasilyev (KAZ)

Danil Vasillyev can actually do it, but lately he hasn’t proven it too often. Also only 103.5 meters.

11:21

Francesco Cecon (ITA)

Another failed jump. Lisso is still second.

11:20

Sabirzhan Muminov (KAS)

Only 102 meters, that didn’t look good at first.

11:20

Muhammad Ali Bedir (TUR)

The exotic in the World Cup jumps 108 meters like Lisso, but has significantly more updraft at his disposal.

11:19

Kalle Heikkinen (FIN)

That was nothing, with 105 meters the youngster is the new tail light in the Finnish team.

11:18

Justin Lisso (GER)

Justin Lisso doesn’t catch his best jump, hesitantly leaves the bakken. After all, with 108 meters he ranks ahead of Nousiainen and Imhof.

11:17

Eetu Nousiainen (FIN)

Before the jump from Eetu Nousiainen you have to wait a bit because the thermal suddenly decreases quite a bit. He also only lands at 106.5 meters, but gets significantly less deduction.

11:17

Remo Imhof (SUI)

Remo Imhof cannot keep up and comes in at 106.5 meters. Qualifying will be difficult.

11:17

Jakub Wolny (POL)

Jakub Wolny goes out of hatch 10 in a strong updraft from the Bakken. He has 120 meters to his credit.

11:14

Lanisek won yesterday

The Slovenian is third from last today, World Cup leader Halvor Egner Granerud will complete the qualification. Jakub Wolny from Poland will start the race, Swiss Remo Imhof and Justin Lisso also have an early starting number.

11:01

Eight DSV athletes compete

After their good results in yesterday’s competition, Karl Geiger and Andreas Wellinger are of course particularly in focus. After a great jump in the second round, Geiger made it onto the podium, Wellinger came in a strong fifth. With Markus Eisenbichler, Stephan Leyhe, Constantin Schmid, Philipp Raimund and Justin Lisso, the other six DSV athletes also survived the qualification yesterday.

10:54

61 men at the start

At 11:15 a.m. in Oslo, it is not only about qualifying for the two individual rounds, but also about points in the tournament classification – unlike in other competitions, the jumps in qualifying are already included in the overall classification.
