Giovanni Bresadola (ITA)
Giovanni Bresadola has shown himself to be a real flyer in the last few days! The young Italian starts his flight aggressively again today, lies low over the thermal and lands just behind Kamil Stoch after 218 meters. At the same time he breaks his previous best.

Kamil Stoch (POL)
Like Eisenbichler, Kamil Stoch was one of those yesterday who couldn’t live up to their expectations. But he’s doing really well today too! It fits together from top to bottom and he can sail upwind to 223.5 meters. The judges also gave top marks for his posture, which allowed him to set himself apart from Eisenbichler by 19.1 points.
16:40
Markus Eisenbichler (GER)
Markus Eisenbichler was able to pull off a strong flight in the rehearsal. How is the competition going for him now? Also neat. With 213.5 meters, Eisenbichler has the new maximum distance in the third round and also the provisional lead.
16:39
Daniel Andre Tande (NOR)
For his part, Daniel-Andre Tande is starting to fly much better. The 28-year-old manages very well at the top and Tande also seems safer in flight than yesterday. After 207.5 meters he takes the lead with a lead of 23.3 points.
16:37
Simon Ammann (SUI)
What can Simon Ammann present in his third jump at this Ski Flying World Championships? He had not yet cracked the 200 meters and even today he is not allowed to fly over the mark. After 196.5 meters, Ammann falls behind teammate Deschwanden, also due to low grades.
16:36
Niko Kytosaho (FIN)
Niko Kytösaho would need 194 meters to hold his position. The conditions are still decent with the updraft, but the jump doesn’t really go together for the Finn. After 162 meters he falls back to the penultimate position.
16:35
Gregor Deschwanden (SUI)
Gregor Deschwanden almost got kicked out after his first jump yesterday and only just made it into the top 30. Today he shows what he can actually do and it goes down to 200 meters. Due to the lead from Friday, Wasek passes.
16:34
Eetu Nousiainen (FIN)
Eetu Nousiainen can’t quite keep up and the Finn doesn’t quite manage to fly as high as the previous athletes. 191.5 meters throw him back behind Wasek and Aalto.
16:33
Antti Aalto (FIN)
Antti Aalto has to intervene and correct his flight a few meters after the jump, but after that he has everything under control and it goes up to 200 meters. For him an improvement on yesterday, even if Wasek will not be overtaken.
16:32
Pavel Wasek (POL)
Pawel Wasek is starting to fly much better and is the first starter in this round to break the 200 meters. After 208.5 meters he is also rewarded with good grades in posture and of course clearly passes Insam.
16:31
Alex Insam (ITA)
It’s ready for the decision at the Ski Flying World Championships. Alex Insam from Italy started the third round as 30th yesterday. With a lot of upwind, Insam has a lot to do after the jump when the skis hit him. With 172.5 meters, he finally does not achieve what he actually intended.
16:25
That’s how the test went
Before the second day of competition, there was the opportunity to do another test jump. Timi Zajc won the round ahead of Marius Linvik and Stefan Kraft. Karl Geiger was a good fourth and Markus Eisenbichler also improved a lot in sixth place.

Swiss beyond the top 20
Things were not going so well for the team from Switzerland, which had traveled to Vikersund with three athletes. None of the starters is currently in the top 20. The best Swiss is Simon Ammann in 24th place. Gregor Deschwanden is even further behind in 26th place.
16:17
Also Hayböck in the top ten
In the Austrian team, Michael Hayboeck was able to report back after his long break in the World Cup. He has a good eighth place at halftime. Manuel Fettner, who is in 17th place, should have hoped for more. Daniel Huber was surprisingly eliminated in the first round.
16:11
DSV starters already way back
Things didn’t go to plan for the German Eagles on the first day of the World Flying Championships and there’s really nothing left to go in the direction of medals. The best German is Karl Geiger, who is in 13th place. Severin Freund, Constantin Schmid and Andreas Wellinger follow directly behind him. Markus Eisenbichler, who has been struggling since the first flight in Vikersund, is in 22nd place.
16:07
Lindvik leads at halftime
Norway’s Marius Lindvik positioned himself at half-time in front of his home crowd. After flights of 232.5 and 226.5 meters, Lindvik is 6.5 points ahead of Stefan Kraft from Austria. The Slovenian pilots are lurking behind them. Domen Prevc is third, 19.9 points behind Lindvik. He is followed by Timi Zajc and Anze Lanisek.
