Geiger saves his competition
Geiger made a strong comeback in the second round. With a great jump over 132 meters, he worked his way up to seventh place. He also benefited from the fact that he had better conditions than the jumpers after him. However, Geiger again lost points in the fight for the yellow jersey, the leader Ryoyu Kobayashi finished the competition just ahead of him in sixth.
Stefan Kraft weakened as Raw Air-Leader. With distances of 128.5 and 127 meters, he even fell behind Geiger in eighth place, but remains ahead in the ranking overall. the Raw Air-The decision will be made on Sunday in the second individual competition in Oslo.
DSV trio can increase in the second round like Geiger
As in previous competitions, Severin Freund showed a rather weak first jump (122 meters) and saved himself as 27th in the second round. There he increased to 127 meters and climbed to 19th place.
Constantin Schmid couldn’t keep up his last strong form and with 122.5 meters he only just made it into the second round as a shared 30th, where he jumped 122.5 meters. Schmid was still 26th, just ahead of Andreas Wellinger after jumps of 121 and 122.5 meters. Andreas Leyhe dropped out early with just 118.5 meters.
