    Althaus and Seyfarth are missing

The German team is also missing two well-known names at the World Cup in Hinzenbach. Katharina Althaus, who won silver in Beijing, tested positive, as did teammate Juliane Seyfarth. As a result, the DSV team also lacks an athlete who can jump in at the front. In the competition are Selina Freitag, Anna Rupprecht and Luisa Görlich. Josephin Laue was disqualified in the qualification. The suit didn’t fit her.

Many failures in the ÖSV team

Nevertheless, some well-known names are missing from the Austrian squad. Daniela Iraschko-Stolz had to end early due to knee problems. Sophie Sorschag is also absent due to a recent knee injury. Eva Pinkelnig will also not be able to start at the home World Cup. She recently tested positive for the Corona virus. The team is still powerful and behind Kramer, Lisa Eder, Chiara Kreuzer and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger in particular are hoping for good results. It was also enough for Julia Mühlbacher, Vanessa Moharitsch, Hannah Wiegele and Sophie Kothbauer to take part in the competition.

    Kramer returns

After missing the Olympic Games, Marita Kramer is back at her home game in Hinzenbach. For her, the main goal is now to win the overall World Cup and the newly created Alpenkrone, in which she leads the ranking after the competition in Ramsau. In the World Cup she is currently leading with 870 points ahead of Katharina Althaus from Germany (698 points) and Ursa Bogataj (601 points). Teammate Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, who also missed the Olympics due to a corona infection, is back in the squad.
