Shock for the Austrian ski jumpers: World Cup leader Marita Kramer tested positive for Corona in Willingen and threatens to miss the Olympic Games in Beijing.
“Due to the high CT value, competing in the Olympic Games remains the goal,” said the ÖSV.
The ÖSV women had left Sauerland early on Sunday morning as a result of the Corona case. The flight to Beijing planned for Monday was initially postponed to Tuesday.
To participate, Kramer would have to submit four consecutive negative PCR tests.
Kramer, who according to official information has no symptoms, was a hot candidate for gold in Beijing for the Austrian Ski Association.
The 20-year-old super talent had won six out of ten World Cup competitions this winter, including the first individual on Saturday in Willingen.
