Stefan Kraft flew to victory in Planica, Slovenia, and still has a chance of winning the small crystal globe for the Disciplines World Cup. The DSV-Skisdler flew behind.

Final for the small crystal globe for the Ski Flying World Cup: In the penultimate individual competition of the season, Stefan Kraft kept the decision open with 239.5 meters and fantastic grades.

The individual competition from the large ski flying hill in Planica, Slovenia, had to be postponed from Friday to Saturday due to too much wind and the competition was reduced to one round. A lot of pressure for the ski jumpers because they had to deliver a perfect performance in the first flight.

Granerud Ledge: “A Touch of Nothing”

The Austrian Kraft succeeded, who, unimpressed by the strong competition, confidently prevailed in front of the Slovenian Anze Lanisek (236m) and the Poland Piotr Zyla (234m). World Cup leader Halvor Egner Granerud (231m) only came in fourth and has only ten points ahead of Kraft in the fight for the Discipline World Cup before the last competition on Sunday. “Ten points ahead is a touch of nothingsaid a radiant force after the success in the ORF interview.

Six of the seven German ski jumpers had qualified for the competition. But the German ski eagles flew after the success. Markus Eisenbichler wanted to force a good flight, but he didn’t succeed and so the man from Siegsdorf (211m) took 17th place as the best German. Andreas Wellinger managed a good but not outstanding jump, who was the second best DSV athlete with 214.5 meters as 20th.

Karl Geiger sailed 201 meters and came in 25th on points, Felix Hofmann (212 m), who surprised us in qualifying, was 28th. Constantin Schmid ended up in 31st place after 199 meters. Pius Paschke (200.5 m) finished the competition as 34th

Martin Hamann did not get past the qualification.

The balance of the Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud in the 2022/23 season: Overall World Cup, Four Hills Tournament, Raw Air, two World Cup medals and twelve World Cup victories. This makes him the high-flyer of this winter.
