Ski crosser Wilmsmann comes second at the World Cup in Canada

The German ski crosser Florian Wilmsmann narrowly missed his first win of the season in Nakiska/Canada. In the final he only had to admit defeat to the Swiss Jonas Lenherr. With second place, the 28-year-old finished in the top three for the tenth time in his World Cup career.

In the women’s category, Johanna Holzmann reached the small final, but ultimately only finished eighth. Daniela Maier was missing due to a torn syndesmosis in her right foot.

The other German ski crossers Niklas Bachsleitner, Tim Hronek and Tobias Müller failed in the round of 16. Florian Fischer one lap later.

The day before, Wilmsmann, third in the overall standings last season, and Bachsleitner crossed the finish line in fifth and sixth place. For Holzmann it was already over in the quarterfinals.

The next races for women and men will take place on January 27th and 28th in St. Moritz/Switzerland.
