A skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, 55, says that he was interested in participating in films when he was young. Hawk auditioned for the film Police College 4 – Block policewhich was published in 1987.
Hawk tells Fly on the Wall podcast, that he sought a role as one of the civilians hired to fight criminals alongside the police. He did not get the role, but the skater was hired as an actor David Spade stunt because of his skating skills.
However, it took time from hiring to filming. When filming began, Hawk’s puberty got in the way. At the time of filming, the skater was about 18 years old.

– I had a growth spurt before filming. The first week they told me I was too tall. I remember how the director said that I’m a pretty good skater, but a bad stuntman.
Hawk recalls being told to stay low.
– I tried, but then I was just sent home in silence. I practically got fired, Hawk recalls now.
Hawk was replaced by a skateboarder With Chris Miller. Hawk became the most famous skateboarder in his field. He won the world figure skating championship 12 times, in consecutive years. Hawk became famous for, among other things, numerous Playstation games.
