Skateboard legend Anthony Frank “Tony” Hawk, 53, posted an update on his Instagram account stating that he had severed his femur. The injury is severe, but Hawk says in his update he is hopeful of his recovery.
– Yesterday was pretty lousy, Hawk starts updating.
At the same time, he published an X-ray of his leg. The picture clearly shows a broken femur. In addition, he published two other pictures of the hospital.
Hawk himself does not tell in his update under what circumstances the accident took place, but according to the TMZ entertainment website, the accident happened while the man was skating.
The skateboard legend says his shoulder broke 20 years ago, but despite a serious injury, he managed to make a comeback for the sport. Even now, Hawk’s thoughts are recovering.
– This rehabilitation of a broken femur will be much more difficult due to the severity of the injury and my age. But I accept the challenge, Hawk says.

– A broken leg that now has a lot of add-ons will test my faith. But I will still be back. I may not have exactly the same capacity as before, but with that thing, I’ve been with you since I reached middle age.
In his update, he also praises his family and other supporters profusely.
– Thank you to my relentlessly supportive, tolerant family – and to all of you – for your love and support for all these years.
Tony Hawk has been dubbed the most famous and iconic skater of all time. Hawk’s racing career ended in 2003, but he has been active skating ever since.
