SK Gaming ranked number one in play-in groups at EU Masters

The SK Gaming junior team finished first in the group stage of the play-ins at the European League of Legends European Masters tournament. The knockout stage is now about moving into the main tournament phase.

SK went into the second round of the group stage from a comfortable position, after going unbeaten the day before.

The German representative continued this series in his first game of the day against eSuba from the Czech Republic. Against team Phantasma from Greece, who was bottom of the group, SK then suffered their first defeat of the tournament.

But that didn’t change anything about SK’s position: the team had already progressed to the knockout stages before the end of the second day of group matches. There, SK fights in a best-of-three series for entry into the main phase.

Meanwhile, Vitality.Bee from the French regional league LFL was the only team to go through the group stage unbeaten. The youth team around four ex-LEC players and the German Dimitri “Diplex” Ponomarev remained undefeated on the second day of the game and thus strengthened its role as favorites.
