Sixteen AZ rioters reported to the police after a clash with West Ham supporters on Thursday

Sixteen AZ fans have so far reported to the police after the confrontation with West Ham United supporters in Alkmaar last Thursday. This was reported by the ANP news agency on Tuesday. Towards the end of the Conference League semi-final, in which AZ conceded a decisive goal at the last minute, AZ supporters broke through a fence between the stands to attack the fans of the London clubs.

The police threatened to show images of the rioters in the television program Discovery Requested Tuesday evening: “If you yourself are involved in these disturbances and you want to prevent your photo from being shown on national television, report to the police as soon as possible.”

People can register until Tuesday 4 p.m. Initially, 24 photos of suspects would be broadcast. Now the police intend to show “more than ten”, although that number may decrease if more suspects report before the deadline. After the hooligans molested the fence, dozens of rioters walked towards the main stand. No arrests were made at the stadium.

As punishment for the misconduct, AZ supporters were not allowed to go to the away match against NEC in Nijmegen last Sunday.
