The seven men were all present in the drug lab at the time of the raid, in March 2020. The lab, located in a warehouse in Zaandam, was the production site for methamphetamine, or ‘crystal meth’. According to the court, the drug lab was very professionally equipped and drugs were produced on a large scale.

Big catch in house search

A Zaandammer (42) and a Mexican (36) played a crucial role in this. De Zaandammer organized and coordinated the lab and was also actively involved in the production. The Mexican worked as a cook in the production of methamphetamine and the police found another in his house found more than 4 kilos of MDMA, almost 2.5 kilos of amphetamine, almost 47,000 euros in cash and a converted gas pistol. They both get four years in prison.

Lower penalties go to another Zaandammer (55) and men from the Dominican Republic (27) and Koog aan de Zaan (27). They must serve three years for their part. A 42-year-old Mexican is going to jail for one year and a seventh suspect is released.
