Six explosives turn up during dredging work in Beilen

During dredging activities in the Linthorst Homan Canal and the port in Beilen, six explosives from the Second World War were found yesterday. These include American grenades.

The explosives have been transported and no longer in the municipality of Midden-Drenthe. They are disabled by experts. The dredging work was immediately halted.

The municipality will have an investigation carried out and then consider how to proceed with the dredging work.
