The six suspects are from Noord-Holland and Friesland. Their role is currently being investigated further by the police. In addition to the arrests, the police have now also received ten tips that may be relevant to the investigation.
The reward of 15,000 euros for the golden tip remains available for the time being. The police emphasize that the investigation continues unabated and calls on people to report with additional information.
Shot during possible flight attempt
Previously, the police showed Investigation program Bureau NH Camera images of the chaos on the street just before the fatal shooting on November 22, 2023 in Alkmaar. A fight arises in a house, after which Freek Postma is found dead in a backyard on the Baansingel.
Freek grew up in Leeuwarden and stayed temporarily in a youth shelter. Yet he ended up in the wrong circuit and acted in drugs, the police reported. In the last years of his life he lived in Noord-Holland, including in Uitgeest and Alkmaar.
Research by the police shows that Freek may have tried to flee after the fight. “We think he wanted to flee over the fence in the back garden. It seems that he was trying to stop, where he was shot at close by and then died in the garden of the neighbors,” said Joey Brink of Police Noord-Holland.
