Sivasspor Coach Rıza Çalımbay spoke after the Malmo match

Sivasspor’s Coach Rıza Çalımbay spoke at the press conference after they lost 3-1 to Swedish team Malmö in the first match of the UEFA Europa League play-off tour.

Çalimbay said, “First of all, it was a very good match. Together with the Malmö fans, we were united and we were under pressure. We had to remove this pressure, unfortunately we conceded bad goals. We had a lot of trouble especially at the beginning of the match, but then we started to improve. We also found our goal in a good way. “The goal we conceded in a short time became a problem for us. The third goal we conceded was bad, but we started to play well afterwards. We got good positions. Unfortunately, we couldn’t evaluate the last hits,” he said.

“THEY DID NOT SAY WELCOME TO US”

Experienced coach Malmö team did not say ‘Welcome’ to Malmö team. They didn’t come to us here to say anything to welcome us or wish them success. Thanks to them, we will welcome them when they come to Turkey, we will wish them success. The match will not be like here, it will be very different. We will not be eliminated easily. There will be a match. We have a lot of shortcomings, there are transfers we will make. I am not saying we lost this match. The match is not over yet. The first half of the match is over. You will see the second half in a completely different way in Sivas. We will take all kinds of risks in the match. We will welcome them with respect and love. I hope we will be the team that passed the tour,” he said.
