Visitors to the tower can look into the gardens of local residents and often shout and wave at them. That’s why they filed a complaint. The municipality will appeal against the ruling. The observation tower is part of Westtoer’s Horizon 2025 project. It is a tourist asset for the small municipality of Mesen. From the tower you have a beautiful view, you can see as far as France and Diksmuide.
The viewing platform is now closed on Sundays. The other days of the week you can climb the tower from 10 am to 5 pm. Until recently, the tower was open on weekdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
