Jannik impeccable in all corners of the field, sends the Russian into a tailspin who immediately suffers a double break and gives up 6-2
It is a Jannik Sinner who has little time to temper the one on the field against Andrey Rublev for a place in the quarterfinals of the Masters 1000 in Miami. The first set ended Two break points for Sinner who tries to break the rhythm of the Russian hitter. He succeeds in the second with a forehand pass that Andrey cannot answer. Sinner has no yielding, confirms the 3-1 lead to zero and still has a ball from the double break in the fifth game thanks to one of his winning answers. A double fault on the second break point is fatal and Rublev gives in again sinking 4-1 with the first signs of mental breakdown. Once again the South Tyrolean consolidates his advantage who escapes 5-1 and once again attacks in the 7th game with the advantage on Rublev’s serve who however manages to win the game. Sinner closes 6-2 in 32 minutes with 16 winners and 3 free, 65% of firsts on the pitch and 92% of points with the first and 57 on the second. The Russian will have to completely change his attitude and sharpen his weapons to try to get back into the game.
