Single lifeactor known from the series Kristin Davis, 58, admits to feeling pressure to stay looking young. Davis says The Telegraph – magazine that he took botox years ago, but has not had other beauty operations for a long time.
Later, the actress decided to try fillers on her face, some of which were successful and some were not.
– I’ve had to remove them, and I’ve been mocked for them mercilessly. I’ve even cried about it – it was so stressful, Davis reveals.
Today, Davis takes negative feedback much more liberally.
– It doesn’t matter to me, I can’t keep up with them (feedback) anymore. We trust doctors and people blame us if something goes wrong. Like I was the one sticking a needle in my face. For a long time, no one told me that the end result didn’t look good. Fortunately, I have friends who finally said it out loud, Davis adds.

Even though Davis has been in the public eye for years, she is still surprised by how conflicted many people are about aging. Especially when people often compare stars to pictures where they are much younger.
– It’s hard to face your younger self all the time. Also, it’s challenging to remember that you don’t have to look like one. The Internet wants and at the same time doesn’t want you to look like that – it’s very contradictory, Davis reflects in the magazine.
Davis has not only struggled in his life with the pressure of appearance. He has opened up in 2018 Origins With James Andrew Miller podcast about his fight against alcoholism. According to Davis, the final turning point in her recovery was when she was cast in the role of Charlotte York in the Single Life series in 1998.
– I’m an addict. At the moment I am a recovered alcoholic, he said in the podcast.
– I thought I would die under the age of 30. I started drinking at a very young age and fortunately I was able to quit at a young age as well, before I became very successful as an actor. Acting made me change my mind, alcohol was replaced by something that was even more important than drinking, Davis added.
