Last Wednesday (September 6th) the music world looked to London because the Rolling Stones presented their new album “Hackney Diamonds” in the British capital. During the livestream event, the music video for the first single from the album could also be seen and heard for the first time. The track is titled “Angry” and immediately shot to number one on the iTunes digital sales charts. “Angry” is now also available physically.
It is the band’s first new album material to be heard since their last album “A Bigger Bang” in 2005. So it’s no wonder that fans are eagerly awaiting the release of “Hackney Diamonds.” To shorten the waiting time, the pre-release single “Angry” can now be purchased on CD and vinyl. Both recordings are available to order online as limited editions. A 7” vinyl of the song will be available exclusively at various record stores. There’s also plenty of merchandise, from T-shirts to hats, featuring new designs of the famous Rolling Stones logo.
“Hackney Diamonds” will be released on October 20th. It is not yet known whether there will be an associated tour.
