After a year in the second division, Werder Bremen is back in the Bundesliga. In order to succeed there directly, the four-time German champion is working hard on the squad. While leading player Ömer Toprak is leaving SVW, Amos Pieper (Arminia Bielefeld) and Niklas Stark (Hertha BSC) are two players with Bundesliga experience.
In addition, Sarpreet Singh is said to be a hot candidate for central midfield. The 23-year-old New Zealander was loaned to Jahn Regensburg by FC Bayern last season and recorded five goals and eight assists in 25 second division games.
