Lewis Capaldi has already noticed an improvement in his physical and mental health just a few months after starting his break. The singer, who suffers from Tourette’s and has anxiety problems, wrote on Instagram on Sunday that he is doing ‘very well’.
The 27-year-old Scot put an end to his tour in June to focus on his health. “I have worked with some fantastic professionals to learn more about and better manage my Tourette’s and anxiety issues. I am very happy to say that I have seen a marked improvement since I decided to take some time off in June.”
The singer of hits like Before you go and Someone you loved has also had a lot of support from his fans in recent months. “I have never experienced such support and that makes me very excited to get back to doing what I love in the not too distant future.”
Five additional songs
Capaldi is sorry that he has finished his new album Broken by desire to be heavenly sent has not been able to promote as he would like due to his break. However, the singer has decided to release an extended version with five extra songs on New Year’s Day. “It would be a shame if these five extra songs, which are so very special to me, were to remain on my hard drive and never see the light of day.”
The singer will now continue to focus on his health and ‘maybe write some music’. “I want to be absolutely sure that I am back to 100 percent before I go back to doing the shows that I love the most!”
