Mail Online magazine tells the star died at home of natural causes. According to newspaper reports, the authorities did not see anything suspicious in the death.
The star had moved to his new London home in June. His last days were oppressed by stalkers. About a month later, he was found dead in his home.
The star died just 18 months after the death of her 17-year-old son.
O’Connor is best remembered Nothing Compares 2 U – hit and its iconic music video. The artist, who had a long career, was also known as an outspoken activist, who raised eyebrows by, for example, tearing a picture of the Pope to pieces in a live Saturday Night Live – program broadcast in 1992.
O’Connor often spoke openly about her mental health problems. During his life, he suffered from, among other things, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
