Ajax Women defeated red lantern wearer Excelsior Rotterdam with ease tonight. It became 3-0 in Rotterdam and with that Ajax remains in the footsteps of leader FC Twente. Their match against VV Alkmaar was canceled due to the snowfall.
Ajax goalkeeper Lize Kop was not surprised in the final phase and stopped a shot from Kathelyn Hendriks. Moments later, it was hit from a corner by the team from Amsterdam. Quinty Sabajo scored from close range from a rebound: 0-1. Eshly Bakker saw the ball hit the post before the break.

Bakker scored twice in the second half. After that, the female Ajax players simply played out the game and it ended in 0-3. VV Alkmaar will be Ajax Women’s next opponent on March 26. Telstar Women will play against Feyenoord next Sunday.
