Exciting. Unbelievable and just… beautiful! Simone Smetsers from Oisterwijk looks back on Sunday with great pleasure at the Spooknacht in the Efteling. She was truly delighted to be able to be there with her family. “It was unique.”
44-year-old Simone has been coming to the fairytale park in Kaatsheuvel for a long time. That was before they had children and apparently they ‘had to’ get used to it quickly. Mats (now 11) was less than three weeks old when he went to the Efteling. He was of course also there on Saturday evening, as were brother Rens (14), his friend Bjorn (15) and Simone’s partner Peter.
The group felt quite chosen. “I looked at Marktplaats before we left. There was offered well above the price for a ticket. But that was not for us,” says Simone.
It was an evening to remember, although the five had to wait until a quarter past one at night before they could enter the Haunted Castle to experience the last Haunted Night. “The visitors were let in dosed and eventually we were outside an hour and a half later. Our oldest even walked the route a second time with his boyfriend. The youngest was too tired for this.”
Afterwards they got something to drink, popcorn and a memento of this special closing. Another gadget for the real Efteling fans.
