The Swiss fashion company Bally appoints Simone Bellotti as its new chief designer.
After the brand in early May from Designer Rhuigi Villaseñor has separatedBellotti will now take over the management of the design studio, the label announced on Wednesday.
The designer worked for Italian fashion house Gucci for 16 years before joining the Bally design team last year. Before joining Gucci, the Milanese also held senior positions at Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta and Gianfranco Ferré.
Led by Managing Director Nicolas Girotto, Bally is currently undergoing a transformation process – Bellotti’s appointment underscores the label’s efforts towards a new strategic direction. Belotti will make his design debut in September, presenting his first collection for the label at Milan Fashion Week.
“It is a great honor to be appointed Bally’s Design Director and to contribute to Bally’s exceptional heritage.
