Vocalist Simo Silmu took to the stage on Tuesday evening when the multi-artist who turned 60 was celebrated at the Savoy Theater in Helsinki Timo Koivusalo.
Silmu is quite a connoisseur himself: Yölintu band has been making music for thirty years.
The band’s concerts are routine. Still, performing alone is exciting.
– I’m not used to (performing alone). The night bird is, at least for me, clearly a herd animal.
The tour schedule keeps the man busy. Fortunately, you can also fit in moments of free time.
– At home, I try to keep a situation where I can be happy without doing anything. I’m the kind of person who likes to do something all the time. It’s relaxing if there are no schedules and you can do at your own pace, Silmu describes.

All in all, things are good for Silmu. My health is in good shape and even at the age of 46, age doesn’t weigh me down.
– Let’s go in good directions.
Silmu reveals that it was only while preparing for the concert that he got to know the texts of Koivusalo’s production for the first time. They revealed a truly wonderful world.
– I’ve missed a lot that I haven’t met before. Learn all ages.
